The "Let's burn one and drive around in your older brother's 442" list....songs from a warm weekend night in the late '70/early '80s.....

OK....I had a request to post some of the songs you may have been listening to in the late '70s/early '80s, while you and your friends were driving around in your brother's car, after paying off some drunk outside Krifran's liquor store to buy you a 6-pack. You're on your way to Rollerworld....your stupid friend is trying to roll one in the front seat.....nothing but stems and seeds in the paper...all the bud landing on the floor mats. Your neighbor's cousin accidentally did two strips of blotter, not realizing how fresh it was, and is convinced that she saw Gene Simmons without makeup in the car you all just passed. Your other friend decided beer wasn't enough, and is emptying a bottle of MD 20/20...which means your life will be much shorter, once your brother sees the back seat of his car tomorrow. You're probably listening to "Flint's best Rock", on 105.5......party on Garth......this is a two part list. I'm only listing the titles, as I'm sure everyone knows these songs......

  1. Nice writing... now that this wonderful historical blog is over, though the 4shared continues to give,
maybe after the kids are gone, and the dust settles, you'll do some writing on your life, and the life of Chi-town. You've made it very real to me...
Thanks for the memories, again and again.
