  4. You mention Sir Graves Ghastly, but Flint had Christopher Coffin (WJRT-Channel 12's "Theater of Thrills"), played by Flint-born Reed Farrell (aka Farrell Reed Pasternak), who co-owned Pasternak-Ramos Advertising Agency in Flint. He also did commercials for World Wide Home Furnishings and NuVision. He left Flint for the second time in 1967, and later became president of AFTRA. The first time he left Flint, he moved to St. Louis, MO, where he was (basically) forced to be recorded (on film), stating, infamously, "Rock 'n' Roll has got to go!" for KWK Radio in St. Louis. He actually loved rock n roll. Unfortunately, we lost Reed a few years ago. I was glad to have 'tapped' his memories in the few short years we kept in touch before his health failed him. RIP, Reed.

  5. That is the Flint I grew up in. I was born St. Joseph's hospital in 1952. Loved growing up in my city. After college, moved to Ann Arbor in 1976, hardest thing I ever did. When I see what has happened to my home town I want to cry.

  6. Me too -- born at Hurley Hospital, 1943. Flint was a WONDERFUL place to grow up in during the late 50's & early 60's. So many GREAT things for kids to do.
Looking at Flint now -- I too want to cry !!!
