OTR special tonight........June 12, 1937....Saturday Night Swing Club 1st anniversary broadcast......

Tonight....straight from my modified Zenith model 5S29...........(which, I might add, is pretty cool......it's a shell that I found...no tubes, etc. It's modified to hold an ipod loaded with old shows, connected into the speaker). Hey, if you're into OTR, ya gotta do in the spirit.....it's a great way to set the vibe..... :) ScheißMeister Bruce, the spouse, King of duct tape and general Jury-rigging, put it together...it's pretty impressive.

The first anniversary show of the legendary Saturday Night Swing Club.  The recording quality is pretty good, for the most part. Announcer is Paul Douglas. Featured are Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli,  harpist  Casper Reardon, Adrian Rollini, Kay Thompson, Bunny Berigan, The Raymond Scott/Toytown Quintet, Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orch., Claude Thornhill, The Benny Goodman Trio and Quartet, Carl Kress and Dick McDonough, and more....good schuffffff.

It's quite the listen, and a full hour and a half of tunage.....you'll like this one :)
