The daily actress post...pt 3....Susan Hayward (I'm sensing a trend with redheads, here.....) ;)

  1. Miss Hayward has always been one of my favorites. She's fun even in her late period in films like "Ada" or "Where Love Has Gone." I came across the expanded soundtrack of "I'll Cry Tomorrow" and it's such a treat listening to her sing the songs on the soundtrack. They've included a few of her songs pre-recorded by someone else (I guess they weren't sure they wanted Susan to sing her own songs) and you can really tell why they let her sing them herself. Makes me wish she had been able to have a recording career!

  2. I agree. I've heard some of that, too. It's kind of like hearing Ava Gardner sing. She should've been allowed to sing without overdubbing in some of her musical parts, as her natural voice was really quite nice, IMHO.

  3. In all my life as far as I can remember Susan Hayward In the movie the "California Clipper" was the most action pack movie that I ever saw as a child and scared me the most of all when the aircraft crashed in the water!
I did not want to see any one get hurt let alone die, just because the Clipper had a ruff landing. Please don't let this happen again!

  4. ?? I didn't know that Susan Hayward was in a movie called California Clipper. Are you referring to the Boeing 314 crash that Jane Froman was in, that Susan Hayward played in "With a song in my heart"?
